  • Extensive negotiation of major engineering, construction, and maintenance contracts.  Negotiated and/or managed major prime contracts with dozens of firms in several industries and government agencies,
  • Proudest projects:
    • Negotiated the engineering/construction contract for the first Interferon plant,
    • Managed contract on the Johnston Atoll Chemical Agent Disposal System contract, the first plant disposing of chemical weapons,
    • Managed fixed price contract on the billion-dollar Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Project.

POLITICAL PARTICIPATION:
Upon retirement in 2012, became active in the local Republican Party:

  • 2020 Delegate to Galveston County, Texas State Conventions, and National Republican Conventions. Elected Treasurer of the Galveston County Republican Party,
  • 2019 Became President of the Mid-County Republican Networking Group. Participated in Meet & Greets and other rallies for local candidates.  A co-Chair for the National Federation of Pachyderm Clubs, National Convention.  Received the “Outstanding Contributions” award from the Galveston County Republican Party.
  • 2018 Delegate to Galveston County and Texas State Conventions.  Elected Precinct Chair for Precinct 150.
  • During 2018 election, Participated in Block walks, Meet & Greets and other rallies for local candidates.  
  • 2017 became active in the Convention of States Project.  Past Region Captain for Senate Districts 4, 11 and 15.  Testified before the State House Committee April and went to be one of the 280 COS people in the House Gallery, when Texas became the eleventh states to pass a Convention of States Resolution.
  • During 2016 election, Participated in Block walks, Meet & Greets and other rallies for local candidates.  Worked at a polling place during early voting.  Participated with the Mighty Texas Strike Force block walking in Colorado for the week before the national election.
  • During 2016 Primary, Participated in Block walks, Meet & Greets and other rallies. Delegate to Galveston County and Texas State Conventions.  
  • 2013 to Present, Treasurer for the Mid-County Republican Networking Group.
  • During 2014 election, Worked for the re-election of Congressman Randy Weber and election of State Representative Wayne Faircloth. Participated in Block walks, handed out literature at polling places during early voting and Election Day.
  • During 2012 election, volunteered at the Galveston County Republican Party headquarters.  Participated in Block walks, Meet & Greets and other rallies.  Received the “Rising Star” award from the Galveston County Republican Party.
